Sudha Murty launches safe drinking water project

Sudha Murty, Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation (the philanthropic wing of Infosys) recently inaugurated a safe water drinking project for Government school children in Jaipur. Accompanied by her sister Jayashree Deshpande she interacted with the school children and their teachers.

The students and teachers thanked Sudha Murty for launching this project that will provide them with access to clean drinking water, a problem they have been facing for some time. After cutting the ribbon Sudha Murty drank water and distributed geometric boxes to the children. Then she and Jayashree Deshpande inaugurated the water distribution vehicles.

This phase of the project will provide safe drinking water to approximately 50,300 children from 203 schools, while the next phase will target 50,000 more children.
